AAP's Motorsport Development Program offers Module 1 training in August

The so-called Motorsport Development Program (MSDP) is a 9-module series that trains young hopefuls so that one day, they can become successful race car drivers. This a project of the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) and they’re starting with a new batch this coming August 29.

All students must start from Module 1 that covers ‘Race Skills’. In case you missed it, this is your chance as it’s being offered again this month.

Done in partnership with the Federation Internationale de L’Automobile (FIA), the grassroots training platform is designed specifically for young drivers who want to enter motorsports. Here, male and female students get to hone their skill and discipline for the sport as they get behind the wheel. All this is done under the watchful eye of 10-time National Rally Champion Vip Isada and his team. Graduates will then receive a scholarship to help them achieve their dream of becoming future race car drivers.

MSDP open to drivers aged 16 to 19 years old and is ‘fully subsidized’ by the program. (That means it’s free)

Those who wish to participate must be physically fit and posses a champion’s attitude. You also need to have a valid Philippine Driver’s License and a Letter of Consent from your parent/guardian to join. The organizers strongly advise that participants bring along their dads so they too can undergo training and proper guidance.

Module 1 will be held this August 29, 2016 at the Mega Tent Libis in Quezon City. Registration starts at 7:45 AM and the program will promptly begin at 8:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM. Lunch and a Motorsport Development Program T-shirt will be provided to all participants. Please bring your own car if possible.
