PRT Racing takes on Formula Masters 2016 with Cebu Pacific Air

A week after revealing their Asian Le Mans Series (AsLMS) LMP3 campaign, Pinnacle Racing Team (PRT Racing) is gearing up for yet another motorsport endeavor in 2016. This time they’re taking on the 2016 Formula Masters China Series (FMCS) with support from Cebu Pacific Air.

Now known as ‘Cebu Pacific Air by PRT’, the Philippine-based team will field 3 white and orange-liveried machines piloted by Nicholas Rowe, Kim Jeong Tae, and Jeffrey Ye.

The 17-year-old Australian driver ‘Nick’ Rowe finished 3rd overall in last year’s FMCS championship. Meanwhile, Kim Jeong Tae from South Korea is a multiple kart champion and moved up to single-seaters in 2015. As for Jeffrey Ye, the Star Racing Academy (SRA) was last year’s 2nd best-placed Chinese driver.

With such a strong driver lineup, Cebu Pacific Air by PRT is definitely aiming for some pole positions and podium finishes on its maiden season. It’s also a given that Rowe will be aiming for the drivers’ title.

The team will follow the FMCS’ 6-round 2016 calendar with races in Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, and the first event in China. As a matter of fact, that’s already happening this weekend (May 21/22) at the 5.5 km Shanghai International Circuit.

Accompanying Cebu Pacific Air by PRT on their FMCS campaign are partners Cebu Pacific Air, Teng Tools, and P1 Racewear.
