It’s been a while since the Toyota Racing School held classes on track. That was something like 2014 or 2015 as far as we could remember. Whatever it was, the important thing is that it’s back and now accepting students for Level 1: Basic Circuit Car Class.
This is the first step for anyone who wants to race in the Vios Circuit Championship, or what we used to know as the Vios Cup. Open to beginners or seasoned drivers (with at least 1 year experience driving with a manual transmission), the Basic Circuit Car Class is a half day session where students learn the techniques and skills needed to properly drive a race car around the track.
Note that only a single class schedule is available at the moment and it’s happening this June 1, 2019 at the Clark International Speedway (CIS). Course fee is Php 8,000 and includes rental of the Vios Cup Car, helmet, head sock, and racing suit.
Also remember to wear closed toe shoes and bring extra clothes as it gets very hot inside the race car.
