Cebu Pacific Air by PRT scores triple podium in FMCS season finale in Taiwan

Despite running a single car entry, Cebu Pacific Air by PRT managed to consistently finish on the podium to end the Formula Masters China Series (FMCS) season finale on a high. Kim Jeong Tae had the sole responsibility to fly the team colors around the Penbay International Circuit in Taiwan – a job he did flawlessly over the weekend.

The South Korean driver set good lap times around the 3.527 km circuit allowing him to qualify P3 and P4 during Saturday’s morning session. This gave him a good chance at fighting for a strong finish in Races 16, 17, and 18.

Known for his lighting quick starts, Kim immediately challenged for position off the line in Race 16. But his attempts were unsuccessful and instead, he decided to maintain P3 throughout the 13-lap race to claim a solid podium finish.

Come Sunday, he enjoyed a trouble-free run in Race 17’s 8-lap sprint. He moved up to the front row of the grid and crossed the line in 2nd. Kim pushed even harder in Race 18 for another shot at the podium. Starting from P3, he moved up a spot on the opening lap and opened a comfortable gap to take home another 2nd place finish on the last race of the season.

It was a good weekend for both Kim Jeong Tae and Cebu Pacific Air by PRT. This would be the very first time in Kim’s career to finish all 3 races on the podium. Meanwhile, the Philippine-licensed team couldn’t be happier to finish their debut season 2nd in the Team’s Championship.

Accompanying Cebu Pacific Air by PRT on their FMCS campaign are partners Cebu Pacific Air, Teng Tools, and P1 Racewear.

Kim Jeong Tae: “I’m really happy. This is my first triple podium and it’s a good way to finish the season. I pushed really hard throughout the weekend and our efforts paid off. I’d like to thank Cebu Pacific Air by PRT for giving me a great car all year. It’s been an enjoyable experience and I learned a lot in every race.”
