City Kart Racing re-opens with a new track in Circuit Makati

The last we heard from City Kart Racing (CKR) was way back in January of 2013 when they closed down their track in what used to be Park Square 1. But guess what? They’re finally back with a new facility in Circuit Makati.

The newly-constructed go kart track is built on a 6,000 sq. meter lot and features a 650 meter race course with a bridge and tunnel. Once construction finishes in a few weeks, City Kart Racing Makati will also have a hospitality building with a Pro Shop selling racing gear and a lounge that serves food and beverages.

The go karts are carried over from the previous CKR track and will be the same 30 finely-tuned 390cc fun karts for adults and 15 kiddie karts for young ones.

We were told that the new track just opened last March 10, 2014, so do expect to see some improvements in the coming days. The track has no timing equipment yet, but they’re expecting it to be set up in a week or so. WiFi access for guests should also be available by then.

UPDATE: City Kart Racing has informed us that the timing system is now working.

Go kart rental fees are priced at P620 per 12 minute run. But do note that there’s a P160 one-time registration for new comers.

While they’re on a dry run, the track opens at 3:00 PM daily, but could only operate until 7:00 PM for now. But when they do finish installing the floodlights, they’ll extend the track hours until 12:00 MN.

Circuit Makati is a new 21-hectare commercial center built on the former Sta. Ana Racetrack in Makati. Aside from a go kart track, it’ll also feature an indoor theater, commercial establishments, a hotel, and residential block.

City Kart Racing Makati is sponsored by M Lhuillier, Coca-Cola Femsa, Wagas Real, Karting Maniac, Sodi Kart Asia, Musco Lighting, Ehpaf Racing Management, and C! Magazine.
