The Net Group (TNG) happens to be the biggest office developer in Bonifacio Global City, now with 7 buildings in their portfolio. And as the biggest, you can just imagine how much personnel has to commute to-and-from their facilities every day, which is never that simple if you’re in BGC.
But instead of letting their tenants deal with that problem themselves, TNG partnered with EMotors Inc. (EMI) to provide a safe, clean, and sustainable shuttle service around the city.
EMotors Inc. is the company that builds the ZüM passenger e-trike, the same one used to ferry delegates during the APEC 2015 Economic Leader’s Summit. This time though, the 100% electric 3-wheeled vehicles will transport staff, officers, and tenants of Net Park and Net Lima to-and-from Market Market. With a seating capacity of 6 plus driver, the service is exclusive to TNG occupants, available during office hours, free-of-charge, and best of all, free from noise and emissions.
“We want to help alleviate the stress of commuting for TNG staff and our tenants even within a short range of radius with the free point-to-point ZÜM electric shuttle, one that also supports our corporate sustainability goals,” said Raymond Rufino, Co-President of The Net Group.
This project, however, is not just about providing free green transport. It also gives job opportunities for women. Yes, most if not all of the ZüM e-shuttles are ladies, where they can earn a living that is “less taxing, more enjoyable, and fulfilling” according to the press release.
Initially, ‘only’ 6 ZüM e-shuttles will be going around BGC to serve Net Park and Net Lima. But if it all goes well, TNG has full intentions of adding more units to fleet and include all their 7 buildings to the route.
