There’s a local group in the country that go by the name Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI). Its members are made up of local car manufacturers and distributors. Every other year they host an event called the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) and 2016 happens to be one of those years.
Now on it’s 6th iteration, the 5-day event will see CAMPI members put their latest vehicles on show. This includes new car launches, concept cars, and some of the prettiest cars available in local showrooms. It will come from the brands BAIC, BMW, Daewoo Bus, Foton, Honda, Isuzu, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Peugeot, Suzuki, Toyota, and Volkswagen who will all have their own displays.
If your favorite brand isn’t on the list, they probably won’t be there.
In case you’re wondering, the 6th PIMS’ theme is “Steer The Future.” They even have a fancy tagline “CAMPI: Driving Progress, Empowering Society” and just like you, we have no idea what it means. What’s important though is that we know when the show is happening.
Mark your calendars. The Philippine International Auto Show will be staged from September 14 to 18, 2016 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Tickets go for P100 a piece.
