Truck fleet owners, how do you ramp up operations while lowering costs? Caltex claims to have the answer. They’ve launched a new lubricant the Delo 400 SLK SAE 15W-40, which addresses the needs of diesel engines operating under on- and off-road conditions.
It’s said that their new oil is able to boost the performance of various engine designs, from different OEMs, new or old, and with or without a DPF aftertreament device. This allows vehicle operators to use a single lubricant across their fleet, reducing inventory and costs.
Delo 400 SLK SAE 15W-40 is API CK-4 certified and offers improved oxidation stability allowing engines to have extended drain intervals. In a field test involving 30 trucks, they even managed to reach 60,000 to 80,000 km before an oil change was needed. The new Delo 400 SLK’s exceptional anti-wear system also offers robust wear and corrosion protection of engine components. What all these means is reduced vehicle downtime and improved equipment reliability.
“With the gradual reopening of the economy and easing of quarantine restrictions in the country, it is vital that companies ramp up their fleet while keeping the engines protected to better meet customers’ ever-increasing needs. When we upgrade our engine oils, we also future-proof our vehicles during these uncertain times,” said Area Business Manager of Chevron Lubricants for Philippines Hafiz Nasar.
Delo 400 SLK SAE 15W-40 is formulated with ISOSYN Advanced Technology – a unique integration of premium base oils, high-performance additives, and the company’s formulation expertise infused into top-tier Delo products. It’s synthesized with additives for better soot dispersion, minimized filter plugging, and sludge protection. Caltex’s new lubricant is also made with the latest generation low-SAPS (Sulfated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulfur) formulation, enabling it to maintain emission control system performance and extend the life of sensitive aftertreatment devices as well as the cleaning intervals of engine filters.
The new Delo 400 SLK meets API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS/SN, and ACEA E9 requirements. It’s sold in either drum or 18L pail packaging.
