Just 2 years since opening its doors in SM City North EDSA, EkartRaceway has expanded to a second location in Antipolo. This just goes to show that Filipinos do have a need for speed, which they can now satisfy in the newest electric indoor karting center to the east of Metro Manila.
The new facility is situated inside the East Gate Business Center along Marcos Highway in Antipolo, Rizal and took around 8 months to plan, design, and build. It features a fully indoor, fully air-conditioned multilevel track much like EkartRaceway’s first branch in Quezon City, but this one is slightly shorter at 135 meters long (vs. 303 meters in SM City North EDSA). Still, that doesn’t mean it’s any less fun to drive on and should provide as much excitement with their rental Junior and Adult e-karts that are rated to reach a top speed of 90 km/h.
“Motorsport inherently is a very expensive proposition, especially within a city limit and mall. EkartRaceway was conceptualized from the very beginning to serve the masses with our many discounts and promos to allow as much people as possible to experience the excitement of karting,” shared EKartRaceway founder David Hsu.
Interestingly, 85% of their customers to this day are first-timers from all gender and age groups. Some even come from far reaching provinces and overseas who wished that they had a venue like EkartRaceway.
Aside from rental karts, EkartRaceway Antipolo will also have Driving Simulators in due time, while beginner Cadet Classes and Race Clinics are available by appointment basis. The adjacent food hall, on the other hand, provides a number of choices on drinks and snacks.
Junior Karts start at P500 for a 7 minute race, while Adult Karts are P700 per race. There are also discounted rates available when you purchase kart sessions in bundles. Located right behind the LRT 2 Antipolo station, they are open 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM from Tuesdays to Fridays and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Weekends and Holidays.
