The country’s leading oil company, Petron Corporation, has some good news. Its Rev-X diesel and Ultron gasoline premium multi-grade engine oils recently received approval from the American Petroleum Institute (API) and various OEMs, which affirms their quality.
These certifications are given to oils that meet specific performance requirements of API and vehicle manufacturers. In turn, it’s supposed to help consumers identify quality engine oils for the gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles.
Petron Rev-X Diesel Premium Multi-grade Engine Oil is said to surpass the performance requirements of modern diesel engines. That includes off-road vehicles and engines with exhaust gas re-circulation (EGR), turbocharging, or supercharging. In recognition of its quality, it was given the following certifications: API CI-4/SL, MTU Category 2, Volvo VDS 3, Mack EO-N, and Renault VI RLD-2.
Meanwhile, Petron Ultron Premium Multi-grade Engine Oil is formulated to meet the performance requirements of modern gasoline engines. It received API’s Service Certification mark, making it suitable for passenger cars, SUVs, vans, and light-duty trucks.
