With over 1,500 members, Sim Racing Ph (SRPh) is the country’s premier virtual motorsport community. These genuine sim nuts take their virtual racing very seriously with some drivers even graduating into the real-world. They also organize their own online competitions with one of their longest-running events – the VVTi Cup – heading into its 3rd season this 2020.
The annual one-make-race sees the return of the Vios Cup Car run on the ever-reliable rFactor sim platform. It will consist of 5 rounds alternating between international and local circuits with each race day consisting of a 10-min Qualifying Session followed by 2x 20-min Races.
Drivers are then split into 2 categories. Group A is exclusively reserved for experienced ‘pro’ drivers, while newbies can slug it out in Group B where the use of a steering wheel is optional. They all, however, race together in a combined grid which SRPh hopes can outgrow the 30-car entry list from previous seasons.
Points are given to the Top 10 finishers with a Driver’s Champion awarded per group at the end of the year. There’s also a Team Championship up for grabs with a maximum number of 3 drivers per team.
