We are not alone. Much like everywhere else in the world, life has come to a standstill. Motorsports has come to a standstill. But while there is much uncertainly on when life will go back to normal, the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) has issued a letter to address the future of motorsport events.
The message comes from the AAP Motorsport Manager, Ivan Isada, who address the local motorsports community.
He reminds us that this is not the time to be careless by rushing to get back into the sport. Because if there’s one thing more dangerous than auto racing, it’s COVID-19. They are, however, in constant communication with the FIA and other national sporting authorities to determine when and how the sport can continue. But for now, the AAP suggests that we look into alternative forms of motorsports such as sim racing, which is what Tuason Racing is doing.
What’s good though is that we’re all in this together in the #RaceAgainstCovid.
This is his official statement in full.
