Fresh from their win at the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup, Pinnacle Racing Team (PRT Racing) is back at the Sepang International Circuit this weekend to race the Philippine flag yet again. This time, they’re running under the banner of Cebu Pacific Air by PRT with a 2-car entry in the Formula Masters China Series’ (FMCS) fourth event.
Korean driver Kim Jeong Tae and Thomas Swift from Hong Kong will continue their hunt for more podium finishes behind the wheel of the team’s VW-powered Tatuus FA010 machines. There will be 1 race on Saturday and 2 on Sunday and both hope to booth their and the team’s position in the overall standings.
As the junior single-seater series reaches the 2016 season’s halfway point, Kim sits 4th in the Drivers’ title thanks to his streak of podium finishes. Newcomer Thomas Swift, on other other hand, has steadily improved on his performance and is focused on delivering strong results in the 5.54 km Formula 1 circuit.
Cebu Pacific Air by PRT is currently 2nd in the Team Classification with 3 events left in the 2016 FMCS calendar.
Accompanying Cebu Pacific Air by PRT on their FMCS campaign are partners Cebu Pacific Air, Teng Tools, and P1 Racewear.
Kim Jeong Tae: “It’s good to be back in Sepang. I really enjoy racing on the Formula 1 circuit a lot and I got my best results here in 2015. I’ll definitely be fighting for a spot with the frontrunners and hopefully secure more podium finishes.”
Thomas Swift: “During the last two rounds, my pace has increased significantly thanks to the expert coaching by PRT Racing. This weekend the target will be to convert this pace into solid results.”
