PRT Racing back in Malaysia this weekend for the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup

Our beloved Philippine-based team PRT Racing (short for Pinnacle Racing Team) has worked tirelessly ever since the last Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup 2 months ago. They’ve been testing on track, working on set up, and fine tuning all the small details. Now, the entire squad is back at the Sepang International Circuit for the sports car racing championship’s second event with hopes of claiming more podium finishes.

The entry list, however, has grown since and drivers Ate De Jong and Charlie Robertson will have to go up against 5 other LMP3 cars this weekend. Still, they’re confident that they can repeat their success behind the wheel of PRT Racing’s Pinbet88-sponsored Ginetta LMP3 prototype.

Running alongside the Malaysia Championship Series, the event will feature 2 free practice sessions, 2 qualifying sessions, and 2 60-minute races.

Accompanying PRT Racing on their LMP3 campaign are partners Pinbet88, Motul, Redmount Group, Balkan Restaurant, and P1 Racewear.

Ate De Jong, PRT Racing Owner and Driver: “We’ve worked really hard since the last race, testing our Ginetta LMP3 and working on my driver training. I hope we’ve improved enough to challenge for the podium once again. It’s going to be a tough weekend at Sepang, but we’re prepared to take on the other teams.”

Charlie Robertson, PRT Racing Driver: “It’s great to be back in Malaysia and fly the flag for Ginetta once again. Ate and I will be pushing hard for a podium finish and maybe a race win. This is a really fun track and I’m looking forward to an excellent race weekend with PRT Racing.”
