Super Sprint Series to kick off new 2020 season this February

After wrapping up a successful inaugural season, the Super Sprint Series is quick to return with another full race calendar this 2020 starting on February 2. Its organizers are kicking things off at the Meycauayan Commercial Complex with a new venue, at the BFCT Marikina Terminal to host the first of four events this year.

UPDATE: Venue has been moved from the BFCT Marikina Terminal to the Meycauayan Commercial Complex.

Super Sprint is designed for new drivers who want to get their feet wet in motorsports. Hence, the track layouts are technical and challenging, but constructed with safety in mind.

Competitors may enter in any of four (4) main categories: Street, Street Modified, Super Street, and Prepped. Each category is then segregated further into classes according to vehicle specification and driver skill.

Street Category is strictly for Amateur drivers only, driving stock cars and tires with minimum 200 treadwear. Street Modified, on the other hand, welcomes both Amateur and Intermediate drivers and allows more modifications, but requires a full interior. Super Street Category also has Amateur and Intermediate classes, allowing for more modifications, lightened hoods and trunks, and tires with at least 140 treadwear. Finally, the Prepped Class is for experienced drivers with vehicle specs that exceed those of the Street Categories.

Driver classification always prevail over Vehicle classification, which means an experienced driver driving a Street Modified-qualified car will still be competing in the Prepped Category.

Entry fee is only P800 per class and competitors must have complete safety gear, including a helmet, closed toe shoes, long pants, and a 3-point seatbelt minimum. Registration starts at 7:30 AM, Drivers’ Briefing at 8:30 AM, which is then followed by the timed runs.

Super Sprint Series is held in cooperation with Toyota Manila Bay, Project Vector, PartsPro, Fixstop Auto Service, Walter Sound and Stage Lighting, Runstop PH, AutoPerformance Ph, Fabrix Eco Filter PH, HazardBoy Performance Parts, Aguila Auto Glass, Pegasus Autolamp Philippines, CleanShine Master, BrandAide Inc., Edgesport, and Prautotype Auto Restoration.
