Every brand has their own trademark colors. Honda Cars Philippines Inc’s (HCPI) staple palette includes Taffeta White, Lunar Silver Metallic, Rallye Red, and Crystal Black Pearl just to name a few. But once in a blue moon, a car manufacturer would come up with a shade so unique, that when released in limited numbers, would later become icons.
The Civic is no stranger to special hues. Passion Orange will always be synonymous to the SiR, while Racing Blue was exclusive to the FD 2.0 S MT. And now, Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic is attempting to become a legend in its own right, available only with the all-new Civic 1.8 E CVT Navi Limited Edition.
This special variant isn’t as ‘special’ as you might think. The 7-inch touch screen infotainment system is its biggest upgrade that now comes with Navigation. There’s also a Modulo deck lid spoiler, Modulo door visors, and Modulo trunk tray thrown in the package. But aside from those things, it’s pretty much a standard 1.8 E CVT with the same 141 hp, 171 Nm of torque, and Earth Dreams CVT.
Although 1.8 E CVT Navi Limited Edition can also be ordered in Crystal Black Pearl or White Orchid Pearl, the one you should really want is the Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic paint. We reckon that it’s going to one of those rare colors that will be overly desirable for a true Honda fan in due time, even more so if only Honda had applied it on the top-of-the-line RS Turbo instead.
The all-new Civic 1.8 E CVT Navi Limited Edition is now on sale, in limited quantities, for P1.133 million each.
