A leading reference in the world of aviation timepieces, Bell & Ross entered motorsports in 2016 by becoming the Official Watch Partner of the Renault Sport F1 team. It was a partnership born from a shared passion for mechanical engineering, speed, performance and sports design. And now 3 years later, they celebrated their tie-up by creating tailor-made BR-X1 Skeleton R.S.18 chronographs for the team’s drivers Nico Hülkenberg and Carlos Sainz.
The bespoke BR-X1 Skeleton Chronograph R.S.18 are exclusively engraved with drivers’ number and name: 27 for Nico and 55 for Carlos. It was presented by Ms. Carmen Ng, Assistant Marketing Communication Manager of Bell & Ross Hong Kong and China, to the pair before the 2018 Chinese Grand Prix last April for good luck.
Nico would end that race 6th and Carlos 9th, which was Renault Sport F1’s best results in 2018 at that time.

To mark the 3rd-year partnership with the team, Bell & Ross also unveiled 3 new chronographs named after Renault Sport’s 2018 challenger, the R.S.18. The collection includes the BR-X1 Tourbillon Chronograph R.S.18 (limited ed. of 20 pieces), the BR-X1 Chronograph R.S.18 (limited ed. of 250 pieces), and the BR03-94 R.S.18 (limited ed. of 999 pieces).
Inherently sporty and sophisticated, these timepieces push mechanical engineering, technical skill, and innovative watchmaking to its limits. All 3 have been designed with a focus on high performance. The cases are engineered from perforated micro-blasted lightweight titanium, while rocker pushers – inspired by F1 paddle shifts – activate the chronograph.
It also features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and the black perforated rubber strap offer unrivaled comfort on the wrist.
