Honda to proudly set up shop in KidZania Manila

In KidZania Manila, children aged 4 to 14 years old get to run a simulated city and experience what’s it like to be an adult, exploring over 100 role-playing jobs and earn money. And one of the jobs that will be offered soon is work from Honda.

Yes, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is now one of the industry partners of the much-awaited children’s theme park in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig. When it opens sometime this Q1 2015, the Japanese automaker will let kids play different roles normally found in Honda’s business working environment. This include posts such as sales consultants and manufacturing associates. Through this, they hope to share Honda’s fundamental belief of the Joys of Buying, Selling, and Creating.

How cute.

According to HCPI President and General Manager Toshio Kuwahara, “We want to introduce the dynamic world of Honda to the kids through this activity and of course for them to have better appreciation of the automotive industry as a whole.”

Of course, these kids not only get to learn, but also have fun while they work with Honda.

“We want the kids to enjoy their time experiencing the life of an adult and give them the avenue to develop skills that will be beneficial to them now or in the future. Ultimately, what we want is for them to dream and imagine the endless possibilities that lie ahead of them,” Kuwahara said.

Hopefully, some of the young minds that enjoy the Honda experience through KidZania decide to work for the company once they’re old enough.

As of the moment, KidZania Manila has more than 40 industry partners including Cebu Pacific, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Shell, PureFoods, and ABS-CBN. But that number is expected to grow to more than 60 brands by the year’s end. That’ll give kids more than enough job choices once they’ve tried working with Honda.

KidZania Manila is an 8,000 sq. meter indoor child-sized city, which can accommodate up to 1,500 visitors at a time. Kids and sign up for a 5-hour shift from Mondays to Thursdays, and 2 shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays when it opens in a few month’s time.
