Nissan wants us to discover the Philippines... driving a Nissan

As with their new “Rediscover Excitement, Rediscover Nissan” campaign, its quite fitting that Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) entered a project with the Department of Tourism (DOT) that will make us all want to go on a road trip to tour the country.

This is the “Visit the Philippines, Drive to Discover with Nissan” program which runs for a whole year, from November 2015 ’til late 2016.

Its goal is to boost local tourism through road travel to specific Philippine destinations recommended by the DOT’s marketing and promotions arm, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB). The scope covers both well-known tourist hot spots and undiscovered sites. But instead of taking a plane or a bus ride, NPI wants local and foreign tourists alike to explore the open road, best if it was on board a Nissan.

With this, they’re supporting DOT by offering Nissan’s revitalized fleet for the road trips. The long list includes the Juke sport crossover, NP300 Navara, NV350 Urvan, X-Trail, as well as sedan models such as the Almera, Altima, and Sylphy.

“By working together with the DOT through the TPB, we hope to raise awareness on the tourism possibilities by highlighting discoveries waiting to be revealed through road travel,” said NPI President and Managing Director Antonio Zara. “It’s not just about getting to the destination, it’s also making the journey itself an exciting and enjoyable experience.”
