If you’re the only fuel company crazy enough offer 100 octane Euro 6 gasoline, then you must have a thing for supercars. We’re talking about Petron Corporation, who not only supplies the best fuel in the country, but also shares their love for cars in 1:32 scale. And this time, they’re sharing a new brand that’s not an Audi, Lamborghini, or Porsche.
The second series of Petron’s Limited Edition Toy Car Collectible features the 3rd generation Ford GT.
Born out a bitter feud with Enzo Ferrari, the GT is Ford’s homegrown supercar. The original GT40 scored 4 consecutive wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1966 to 1969. They then repeated the feat in 2016 where the #68 Ford GT of Ford Chip Ganassi Racing finished 1st in GTE Pro at the famed twice-round-the-clock to mark the GT’s 50th anniversary win at Le Mans.
The road-going version, on the other hand, is powered by a 656 hp 3.5L turbocharged V6 that’s capable of sprinting 0 to 97 km/h in 2.8 secs and reach a top speed of 348 km/h. Ford only builds 250 GTs per year and production will only run until October 2020.
But Petron’s scale model is more attainable than the real deal’s $500,000 price tag. Collectors can purchase a 1:32 Ford GT die cast scale model for only P250 each with every single or accumulated purchase of P500 worth of Petron fuels or engine oils. This include Petron Blaze 100, Petron XCS, Petron Xtra Advance, Petron Turbo Diesel Max, Petron Blaze Racing, Petron HTP, Petron Ultron, Petron RevX, and Petron Sprint 4T.
Note that the toy collectible can only be redeemed at the same station you filled up. There are 2 available colors, glossy red and matte black, and will be up for grabs at Petron stations nationwide from November 30 to December 15, 2018.
