Vision Petron's national art competition theme for 2018 is 'Tuklas Kultura'

Vision Petron, which happens to be Petron Corporation’s multi-awarded student art competition, is once again inviting our young artists to enter their 2018 contest. Now on its 18th year, it’s open to all Filipino students aged 16 to 28 years old. Works can then be entered in any of the following categories: Painting (oil/acrylic, water-based), Photography, T-shirt Art Design, Video-making, and Music or Song-writing.

This year’s theme is ‘Tuklas Kultura’ (translated as Rediscover Culture) which focuses on unique Filipino traits that sets us apart in terms of how we live, what we do, make, think, and value as people. “These may include our culture, heritage, habits, lifestyle, and values that are uniquely ours,” the company statement said.

Mind you, this is not a typical, run-of-the-mill contest in your barangay or barrio.

Entries here will be judged by a distinguished panel of (real) experts in their fields. They also give big cash prizes and trophies which we’re sure will put a huge smile on your faces. Winning works of art will then be featured in Petron marketing collaterals such as planners, calendars, and t-shirts.

It’s serious business when it comes to Vision Petron.

Take note that deadline for submission for provincial entries is on July 20, 2018 where you can drop your entries at any Petron Bulk Plants nationwide. Petron’s Pandacan office, on the other hand, will accept submissions until July 28, 2018.
