Designed by renowned Formula 1 track engineer Hermann Tilke, the Pradera Verde Racing Circuit (PVRC) is built on a 100 hectare properly in Lubao, Pampanga.
It will feature several track configurations to suit different type of events. The longest ‘Grand Prix’ format is 5.013 km long with 22 turns, while the ‘International’ circuit is slightly shorter at 4.641 km with 18 turns. There will also be 2 other layouts available. ‘National’ stretches 2.762 km long and ‘Club’ at 2.092 km, both with 12 turns each.
Aside from the main circuit, the compound will also house a dedicated go kart track, VIP clubhouse, main grandstand with 21,000 seats plus several temporary stands, and pit building. The PVRC will have an FIA Grade 2 track rating making it suitable for events such as Blancpain GT Series Asia, MotoGP, SBK, as well as local events like the FlatOut Race Series (FORS) and Formula V1 Challenge.
Construction is set to begin in 2019 starting with a dedicated drag strip and grandstand, which is expected to be completed in the same year. The rest of the project, on the other hand, is targeted to be fully operational by 2020.
