Tuason Racing to launch Gulf Oil: Top Driver Challenge at MIAS 2024

Tuason Racing, the premier motorsport organizer in the country, is brining back one of its very first projects that give enthusiasts the chance to turn their passion into a profession. Launching at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2024 this April, the Gulf Oil: Top Driver Challenge (TDC) is poised to be a survival competition that will push drivers to their limits and separate the best from the rest.

The TDC is not for the faint of heart. As part of the 4-round competition, participants will go through a series of challenges designed to test driving skill, adaptability, and endurance. Round 1 is a sim racing competition that takes place on the 6th of April during MIAS 2024 at the SMX Convention Center.

Survive this round and you advance into Round 2, which is a Karting Challenge to be held at Ekartraceway in SM North EDSA. From then on, finalists get to jump behind the wheel of a real race car in Round 3 with a Basic Racing Class Challenge at the Clark International Speedway (CIS). Lastly, the overall champion will be determined on track again at CIS in the Final Round.

Registration for the Gulf Oil: Top Driver Challenge is still open for only Php 10,000! The fee includes the following challenges: Simulator Trials, Karting, and Basic Racing Class. If you’re quick enough to ace your way through these challenges, you get an opportunity to be part of the Tuason Racing team and work behind the scenes in the GR Toyota Vios Cup and Formula V1 Challenge. Best of all, you get a chance to join the TRS racing team and compete in a local endurance race.

“This competition is not just about speed – it’s about strategy, endurance, and the ability to thrive under pressure. The ultimate prize awaits the driver who can prove themselves worthy of the title of Top Driver,” said Aileen Santos, Tuason Racing VP for Operations.

Aside from the survival TDC, there will also be a Top Driver Challenge E-Sports competition open for all at MIAS 2024. Visit the TRS x Monza Barcade booth from April 4 to 7 and sign up. For only Php 300, you can play one (1) session for the Qualifying round and set your best time from April 4 @ 3:00 PM until April 6 @ 9:00 PM. Only the Top 3 fastest drivers per day get to advance into the Finals on April 7 and compete for amazing prizes from partner brands.

“We are truly excited to have partnered up with Tuason Racing and witness this exciting competition to know who will remain victorious to represent the brand,” says Michael Francisco, Gulf Oil Philippines, General Manager.

The Top Driver Challenge is powered by Gulf Oil and partnered by Monza Barcade, together with Apex, OMP, AAP, Imprint Customs, and Clark International Speedway. Also Tuason Racing’s media partners C! Magazine, Philippine Daily Inquirer, AutoIndustriya, Autocar Philippines, Time Attack Manila, and Skramble.
