As a testament to the growth of motorsport in the country, the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) celebrated its 30th Annual Motorsport Awards, recognizing the nation’s top drivers, officials, and contributors across multiple disciplines, with over 60 awards presented for the 2025 season.
One of the more notable developments was the inclusion of the National Esports Championship, highlighting the growing role of virtual competition as a pathway for driver development. This was further reinforced by the addition of a Driver of the Year award for Esports, cementing its place alongside traditional disciplines.
Several familiar names also returned to the top, securing back to back Driver of the Year titles. These included Archim Lorenz Lagman in Circuit, Olson Louie Camacho in Rally, John Rey San Diego as Rally Co-Driver of the Year, and Paolo Lim in Drag Racing.
Beyond the main categories, several Time Attack Manila-supported drivers competing on the international stage were honored with a Plaque of Recognition. Among them was Axel Nocom, who represented the Philippines in the Champions of the Future Academy (COTFA), and Danzel Waytan, who competed in the Minutes Endurance Challenge (MEC) 120.
Also recognized were Seira Kojima, who took part in the FIA Karting Arrive and Drive World Cup, and Red Diwa, who continued his campaign in the TCR Asia Series.
