This weekend, Pinnacle Motorsport is back racing in Asia as the Motorsport Ireland-licensed team fields two promising young talents at the fourth event of the 2025 Formula 4 Southeast Asia Championship at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC). Lining up on the grid will be Niccolò Maccagnani from Italy alongside Kareen Kaur of Singapore.
Having just turned 15-year-old last week, Maccagnani is making his first competitive start in single-seaters. His potential has earned him a place in the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA), with Sepang marking his first race since the announcement as part of the program.
Joining him is Kareen Kaur, who is the nation’s first female F4 driver. Starting karting at the age of nine, she has competed in the Champions of the Future Academy (COFTA) and ROK Cup Asia before stepping into single-seaters earlier this year in the F4 Indian Championship. Kaur’s entry in Sepang continues her progression on the international stage.
The weekend will see two qualifying sessions and Race 1 on Saturday, followed by Races 2 and 3 on Sunday at the 5.543 km Grade 1 track in Malaysia.
John O’Hara, Pinnacle Motorsport Team Director: “We’re keen to work with two young talents this weekend. Both Niccolò and Kareen have proven themselves in their respective categories, and our focus is on supporting their development up the motorsport ladder. The current F4 SEA grid is competitive and we’re joining mid-season, but we’re confident we can deliver strong performances.”
Accompanying Pinnacle Motorsport on their Formula 4 South East Asia Championship Certified by FIA campaign are partners Motorsport Ireland and KC Motorgroup Ltd.
