AISIN Super Sprint stages wet and wild Round 3 at Parklinks Ayala

Not even a heavy downpour could slow down the 60 drivers who braved the rain when the AISIN Super Sprint Series visited the scenic Parklinks Ayala in Libis, Quezon City last July. With half being first time participants, the 3rd event of 2023 also witnessed a number of new talents shine and emerged as class winners.

The roster was a mix of seasoned racers and amateur enthusiasts, which allowed for healthy competition and skill sharing amongst the participants. But no matter how experienced they were, the challenging course laid out for the day demanded full commitment and concentration in order to set a fast time. Each participant were given 2 runs per class, with their best time determining their final standing.

John Michael Law in his Honda City GN set the quickest time amongst the Street Class drivers. He stopped the clock at 63.342 secs, which was a second clear of his nearest rival and an impressive performance for a stock vehicle.

Meanwhile, Arnold Javier turned out to be the fastest Amateur Super Street entry in his Honda Civic EK with a 57.402 sec run earning him 1st place.

Intermediate Super Street was headed by Pogs Jaranilla. Pogs set a best time of 58.263 secs in his Toyota Yaris to win the class.

But the best time of the day came from the Prepped Class reserved for race-ready machines. Jevoy Moreno bested the entire category with a 55.041 secs run in his turbocharged Honda Civic EF.

After an adrenaline-packed and fun-filled event, the AISIN Super Sprint Series is now gearing up for Round 4 happening on August 20 again at Parklinks Ayala in Libis.

The 2023 AISIN Super Sprint Series is sponsored by AISIN Asia Pte Ltd., Toyota Manila Bay Corp., PartsPro, RunStop Ph, Aguila Autoglass, AutoPerformance Ph, Pegasus Autolamp, Fix Stop, Project Vector, Smart Fuels & Race, CleanShine Master, Walter Lights & Sounds, Fabrix Eco Filter Ph, Rider’s Aide, Brandaide Inc, and EdgeSport.
