It’s going to be another exciting race weekend at Tuason Racing hosts Round 2 of the Formula V1 Challenge and 1NZ Unity Cup at the Clark International Speedway (CIS).
Jessie Garcia of CRG Racing Team currently leads Formula V1’s points race, but has a swarm of drivers hot on his heels. Danzel Waytan, Will Lucas, and Ethan Ong all have Jessie in their sights and will surely fight for a win. There will also be 2 special guest drivers this weekend from Japan. Super GT300 reserve Shunji Okumoto and Vita Challenge driver Masahiro Aoai are taking to the grid with Ribbon Arc Motorsports and are expected to give our local talent a run for their money.
Meanwhile, the 1NZ Unity Cup is out to replicate the success of its inaugural event with hopes of fielding an even bigger grid of cars. The series is open to Toyota Vios (including OMR cup cars) and Toyota Yaris/Vitz in all shapes and sizes who can now duke it out on track.
All in all, a strong 32-car grid is expected for the exciting motorsport weekend. Qualifying, Race 3, and Race 4 will take place on July 20 at the Clark International Speedway (CIS).
