Grassroots racers hit the track at ENEOS Super Sprint Circuit Cup

The first-ever ENEOS Super Sprint Circuit Cup officially kicked off at Clark International Speedway (CIS), giving grassroots racers their first taste of running on a full circuit. More than 30 drivers lined up across Amateur, Intermediate, Prepped, and Pro classes in a time-attack format that carried over the community spirit Super Sprint has always been known for.

True to its mission of providing a safe stepping stone into the sport, the event also held orientation and briefing sessions. Motorsport figures Stefan Ramirez and Francis Aguila ensured that both first-timers and veterans were well-guided on track safety, racing etiquette, and circuit fundamentals.

Participants enjoyed morning and afternoon sessions to explore the 4.189 km circuit, with several standout runs across the classes. In Amateur, John David Cuadra topped Street Modified 1 with a 2:32.25 lap, while John De Leon led Street Modified 2 with a 2:37.80. Peter John Estrada claimed Class 3 honors, while John Carl Bulilan and Ferry Geronimo headed the Super Street categories.

Intermediate drivers pushed the pace further. Jan Michael Hernandez clocked a 2:23.53, while Jay Militante delivered one of the day’s quickest times at 2:12.17. In Prepped Class 1, Rich Mark Young edged out brother Marcus for the win.

The Pro Class brought the fiercest competition. Rising star Inigo Anton stopped the clock at 2:13.68 to beat veteran Christopher Co, while Charlie Cruz secured Pro Class 1 victory with a 2:24.78.

Bridging the gap between parking-lot sprints and circuit racing, the ENEOS Super Sprint Circuit Cup returns to CIS on October 18 for Round 2.

Super Sprint is presented by ENEOS Philippines with support from AutoPerformance PH, MOMO Philippines, and PartsPro.
