The 2026 ENEOS Super Sprint Series concluded its six-round season at Villar City last October 4, capping off its biggest year yet. The grassroots motorsport series averaged nearly 140 drivers per round and welcomed 26 female competitors throughout the year, highlighting its continued growth as an accessible entry point into motorsport.
Unlike traditional circuit racing, Super Sprint challenges drivers to navigate a tight, technical course against the clock. Precision, car control, and consistency are just as important as outright speed, allowing newcomers to compete alongside more experienced racers across different classes.
The season finale featured a challenging course layout, with drivers battling for class victories and valuable championship points.
One of the day’s standout performers was Iloilo’s Glenn Gallos of Motolite–Sprint Racing Team. Driving his 2015 Honda Brio, Gallos dominated several categories and set the fastest overall time of the event with a 48.046-sec run in Intermediate Street Plus 2.
He was also the quickest driver in Amateur with a 48.832 and Prepped with a 48.081 run, completing an impressive sweep of three fastest-time classifications.
Gallos faced stiff competition from Gen Colina of Shago Someday Racing Team, who came within just 0.040 secs of the outright fastest time. Behind the wheel of his 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback, Colina recorded a 48.086 run to top the Pro category and secured multiple class victories.
Meanwhile, Santi Sarsoza of TBPH Motorsports was the fastest Street competitor in his Toyota Vios, while Rocel Alejar of MP Turbo led the Ladies category in her Mazda MX-5.
The fastest drivers in each classification during Round 6 were:
Street | Santi Sarsoza | 2006 Toyota Vios | 53.084
Amateur | Glenn Gallos | 2015 Honda Brio | 48.832
Intermediate | Glenn Gallos | 2015 Honda Brio | 48.046
Prepped | Glenn Gallos | 2015 Honda Brio | 48.081
Pro | Gen Colina | 1994 Honda Civic Hatchback | 48.086
Ladies | Rocel Alejar | 2025 Mazda MX-5 | 53.743
Other notable performers included Thutz Lozano, Alessandro Sky Aguilar, and Peejay Estrada, who collected multiple class victories. Jeric Marayag topped the special Prototype Class with a 49.502-second run, while GJ Caparros claimed the EV Class victory.
Beyond the results, the 2026 season marked another milestone for Super Sprint. With nearly 140 drivers participating per round on average, the series continued to attract first-time competitors, returning drivers, and established racing teams. The participation of 26 female drivers throughout the year also reflected the growing interest in grassroots motorsport among women.
With another season complete, ENEOS Super Sprint continues to provide an accessible platform for aspiring racers to develop their skills, gain competitive experience, and progress further into motorsport.
