Petron Corporation is punching its way through the pandemic to offer us yet another scale model collection. This time, the set features customer racing cars from BMW Motorsport, which is fitting since Petron and BMW are both owned by San Miguel Corporation in the Philippines.
The so-called ‘Petron Ultimate Driving Collection’ is comprised of three (3) 1/24 scale die cast models. There’s a yellow BMW M4 DTM, which won the Manufacturers’ Championship in 2015. Meanwhile, the BMW M6 GT3 comes in blue where a similar car won the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2020 with Rowe Racing. Lastly, the main highlight of the collection is the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R. Although it never met production, the concept was made in commemoration to 40 years of BMW Motorsport’s successful debut in America.
All these ‘toys’ are all officially licensed from BMW and come in a 5-side see-through display box. The doors open with alarm sounds and lights, as well as a start-up engine sound when you press on the hood.
If you want to get your hands on these miniature BMWs, note that its exclusive to Petron Value Card (PVC) or Petron Loyalty Card holders. Each die cast BMW scale model can be purchased for only P800 for every P500 single or accumulated top-up of Petron Blaze 100, Petron XCS, Petron Xtra Advance, Petron Turbo Diesel, Petron Diesel Max, Petron Blaze Racing, Petron HTP, Petron Ultron, Petron Rev X, or Petron Sprint 4T.
Petron Loyalty Card points may also be used as payment, in case you’re asking.
But if you want to get the entire set in one go, the ‘Petron Ultimate Driving Collection’ can be purchased for P2,200 which already includes all 3 cars. This can be availed with any P1,000 single receipt purchase of Petron fuel or lubes.
The ‘Petron Ultimate Driving Collection’ will be available from October 1 to 31, 2020 only and should be available at participating Petron stations nationwide.
