Car shows these days are now more like sideshows. New ones just pop up left and right anywhere in the country, in various shapes and sizes. But the Trans Sport Show is different. Now on its 27th year, it prides itself as the only car show where “85% of what is on the show floor are beautifully restored and/or customized show cars vying for a prestigious competition.”
Statistically, that means a majority of the 100+ project vehicles at this year’s event will be of top quality, all of which will be vying for the Trans Sport Show Cup competition.
“For 26 years now, TransSportShow has always been and continues to be in the forefront of automotive restoration and car show competitions. Having produced hundreds of show car winners in its 26 years run, Trans Sport Show has helped hundreds of car shops and individuals flourish in this field – several of whom have become ‘Influencers’ when it comes to auto restoration,” said Sophie delos Santos, TSI President.
This year, expect to see previous Best of Show winners from Alex Car Restoration, Alfred Motorworks, Import Hook Up, and last year’s winner and first time entrant Vonetix Radical Creations (see poster). (Cromax), JDM Select, K29 Autoworks, Massiveparts, Inc., Meguiars Phils. / Simex, Nasiol Philippines, Nexus Ark Paint & Bodyworks, NGK Spark Plugs, Nippon Paint Phils., Omaka Inc./Atoy Customs, Perfect Circle Industrial Supply, Inc., Prautotype Auto Restoration, Prestone, Starbright Bodykits, Staunch Performance, and Zamony Ventures Corp. (Pioneer).
Aside from this, Moto Builds Pilipinas which is a motorbike show and bike build off organized by Makina will be held simultaneously with the Trans Sport Show.
In cooperation with Shell Helix Ultra and GMA Network, the 27th Trans Sport Show will be held at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia from May 17 to 20. Visitors may purchase tickets in advance via SM Tickets or directly at any SM Cinema ticket outlet.
