With Timothy Joseph “TJ” Alberto sealing the championship one round early, Access Plus Racing arrives at the 2025 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) finale with a new target in sight. The fight now centers on Troy Alberto, as the team aims to secure 2nd overall at the Clark International Speedway (CIS) and close the season on a high.
TJ Alberto heads into the season finale with a different kind of challenge after securing his 5th consecutive PSBK crown. He will race the all-new 7th-generation Ducati Panigale V4, which makes its competitive debut this weekend. Originally intended for the 2026 season, Access Plus Racing is using the final round to accelerate development and gather valuable data under real race conditions. Powered by the latest MotoGP-derived Desmosedici Stradale engine producing 216 hp, the new Panigale brings cutting-edge technology straight from Ducati’s world championship program. TJ has already tested the bike several times and is eager to put it through its paces in race trim.
On top of that, he will also compete in the newly introduced PSBK SS600 class aboard the Ducati Panigale V2, making this one of his busiest weekends of the year.
While TJ takes on a development role with the new Panigale, the pressure shifts to his younger brother Troy Alberto, who enters the finale locked in a tight battle for 2nd in the championship. With just a 5-point advantage over Marvin Mangulabnan, Troy must finish ahead in both races to secure the runner-up position.
It has been a season of highs and lows for the younger Alberto — strong podium runs and multiple 1–2 finishes with his brother, but also mechanical setbacks and bouts of bad luck. Still, the progress has been undeniable. With lessons learned and a renewed mindset, Troy arrives at CIS with full confidence and is determined to send off the current-generation Ducati Panigale V4 on a high note.
TJ Alberto, #77: “We’re happy to have clinched the 2025 title a round early. With the pressure off, the focus is now on development for 2026. We’re looking forward to give the Panigale V4 its first test run on this race weekend and excited to see how it performs. I’ll also be racing in the new Supersport class on the Panigale V2, so it’s going to be a busy but exciting finale.”
Troy Alberto, #69: “I’m 5 points ahead of Marvin heading into the last round, so the goal is simple—finish ahead in at least one race to secure 2nd in the championship. It’s been a rocky season, but we’ve been building up nicely and I’m feeling confident for this final weekend. It’s also the last race for this generation of the V4 R, so I’d really like to cap off its run with a win.”
Toti Alberto, Team Principal: “Since TJ already wrapped up the championship, we decided to advance his 2026 testing program by having him race-test the new 7th-generation Panigale V4 — the most anticipated sportbike in Ducati’s lineup. It’s a great opportunity for us to gather real race data early and prepare for next season. For Troy, the mission is clear. He’s fighting for 2nd in the championship, and the entire team is fully behind him. We’ll be giving him all the support he needs to help him finish the year strong. It’s the last round, and we’re ready to give everything we have to secure a 1–2 finish in the 2025 championship.”
