Partnering with KC Motorgroup Ltd (KCMG) and IXO Models, Pinnacle Motorsport is ready to take on the world stage as it confirms its entry in the inaugural FIA Formula Regional World Cup at the 71st Macau Grand Prix.
The team will run under the name KCMG IXO by Pinnacle Motorsport with drivers Noel León and Mari Boya. León brings with him a wealth of experience in single-seaters. The Mexican has won titles in the 2019/20 NACAM Formula 4 Championship, 2021 F4 United States Championship, and 2023 Euroformula Open Championship. He currently competes in FIA Formula 3 and is no stranger to the 6.120 km Guia Circuit having raced at last year’s FIA F3 World Cup.
Mari Boya, on the other hand, is a familiar face in the Pinnacle Motorsport garage. The Spaniard raced with the Motorsport Ireland-licensed team in Formula Regional Middle East where he picked up 3 podiums in the fight for the 2024 championship. He is also returning to Macau where he finished 4th in last year’s Grand Prix and has since raced in the FIA Formula 3 and has a win to his name.
2024 is the first year for the event to feature Formula Regional cars and co-headline the historic event alongside the FIA GT World Cup. KCMG IXO by Pinnacle Motorsport will be one of 12 teams in the FRegional World Cup with hopes of bringing home strong results between its 2 drivers.
Free Practice and Qualifying 1 starts on Thursday (November 14) with Qualifying 2 happening on Friday (November 15). A 10-lap Qualifying Race then takes place on Saturday (November 16) and a 15-lap Race on Sunday (November 17).
