Fierce competition marks the start of the 2025 ENEOS Super Sprint series

The ENEOS Super Sprint series roared back to life on the 2nd of March, bringing together a mix of veteran drivers and newcomers at the Acienda Designer Outlet for the 2025 season opener.

Known for its strong reputation as a grassroots motorsport event, the series attracted a good number of first-time competitors—not just to the series but to motorsports in general. These enthusiasts were looking for a safe, proper venue to get an adrenaline rush as they pushed their cars to the limit on an enclosed, technical sprint course.

Super Sprint’s first event of the year saw standout performances across all classes.

Richard Gallardo set the overall best time with a 51.997-secs run in the Pro Class, while Paolo Hizon Batangantang stopped the clock at 53.653 secs in his Honda Civic to win the Prepped Class.

Marvin Jason Matira dominated both the Amateur and Intermediate Classes, clocking 55.200 and 54.803 secs, respectively, in a Toyota Yaris. Impressively, Rain Acejas gave the boys a run for their money with a 56.210-secs run to top the Ladies’ category. Meanwhile, Radney Charles Rios won the Street Class with his best time of 62.114 secs.

Super Sprint is designed to be an accessible entry point for those aspiring to get into motorsports. Its straightforward time attack format focuses on driver skill over outright speed, making it an ideal proving ground for beginners while still offering a challenge for seasoned drivers.

After an action-packed first round, the ENEOS Super Sprint series now prepares for its next event on the 13th of April, 2025.

The 2025 Super Sprint series is sponsored by ENEOS Philippines and supported by AutoPerformance Ph, PartsPro, Aguila Auto Glass, Runstop PH, MOMO Philippines, Toyota Manila Bay, Auto-Gard, Pegasus Autolamp, CleanShine Master, and Project Vector.
