The European Touring Car Championship Philippines (ETCC Ph) successfully staged the ETCC Festival 2025 on October 11 at Clark International Speedway, drawing over 100 participating cars and more than 200 visitors in a full-day event that blended motorsport competition, car culture, and community celebration.
A diverse lineup of European marques — including Porsche, BMW, Volkswagen, and Lotus — took to the track alongside Japanese favorites such as Honda, Toyota, and Nissan, showcasing the shared passion that unites car enthusiasts of all backgrounds. The festival also brought together regular ETCC competitors and visiting teams like Torque Unlimited and Autoholic Racing Team, creating one of the largest gatherings of high-performance machinery in recent years.
Adding to the excitement, ADAC GT Masters driver Eduardo Coseteng thrilled fans with taxi rides around the circuit in the new BMW M3 Touring, giving guests a firsthand taste of professional driving speed.
Beyond the races, visitors enjoyed a full festival experience that extended well past the pit lane. Guests tested their skills on sim racing rigs provided by Apex Philippines, while others browsed automotive gear and collectibles from partner booths such as Rennhauss, Inuteq Philippines, and Blue and Yellow Toys. The combination of on-track action and off-track attractions made the ETCC Festival a true celebration of car culture.
Racing Highlights and Results
The ETCC Open Series headlined the day with a packed 30+ car grid that delivered some of the most exciting racing action of the event. Paolo Mantolino of Autoholic Garage dominated both races in his Porsche 911 GT3, taking back-to-back wins in the Supercar Class after a close fight with Mark Savino of Kandi Racing. Race 2 race also featured a unique mix of European and Japanese machines, with Angelo Magtoto in a Toyota GR Supra challenging Mantolino to secure 2nd in class.
In the BMW M2 Class, Raffy Rabe took a double victory aboard his BMW M2, while Patrick Hesse steered his Volkswagen Golf GTI to the top of Touring Car Class 1 in Race 1 before Ethan Ong’s Porsche Cayman claimed the win in Race 2. Excel Torres, behind the wheel of an Audi RS4, proved to be a strong performer in the Street Modded Class, winning Race 1. Buboy Rabe also shone with a victory in his Mercedes-Benz A35 AMG, showing consistency by winning the overall Street Modified Class for the day.
The ETCC Newbies Series also drew strong participation, with Bryan Neil Alejandro taking first place in his Lotus Emira, followed by Karlos Naidas and Philip Michael Cundangan completing the podium.
Other categories added variety and excitement throughout the day. Mark Savino set the pace as the Fastest Porsche in the Porsche/M2 Open Track Attack, while Raffy Rabe once again topped the Fastest M category. In the VW Golf GTI Cup, Patrick Hesse continued his winning form to secure first place ahead of Jose San Vicente and Evan Severino.
Meanwhile, the JTCC Time Attack showcased Japanese performance machines, with Angelo Magtoto’s Toyota GR Supra setting the fastest lap ahead of Jonathan Cayle Padilla in a Nissan GT-R and Rossano James Cruz in 3rd. The Track X Open Track Day wrapped up the event, as Karlos Naidas took top honors with Bryle Reyes finishing 2nd.
More than a competition, the ETCC Festival 2025 brought together brands, teams, and fans in one high-octane celebration of performance and passion.
